6 Self-LOVE Opportunities


What is self-LOVE really?


It's so easy to tell people to LOVE themselves.


But when asked what that means...


Silence.


Not many understand the art of self-LOVE.


Which is a shame cause this is the stuff that actually creates a life you LOVE.


You've probably heard someone say, "If they can't LOVE themselves, how do you expect them to be able to LOVE you?"


It's so true.


When we aren't able to LOVE ourselves, we're not able to fully LOVE another.


There are conditions upon LOVE when you're being LOVED by someone who can't LOVE themselves.


This answers a lot of relationship questions as an Empath...


"Why did they behave like that?"


"What's going on with them?"


Lack of self-LOVE...


Plain and simple.


So because of this, I decided to make a short list of some simple ways to start LOVING your self, along with an exercise below you might find helpful.


Try This: 6 Self-Love Opportunities...


1. Stop and listen to your body’s needs


Yeah...really...it's this simple...


Eat when you feel hungry and sleep when you feel tired.


Try it...it works like a charm and your body feels soooooo LOVED!



2. Take a deep, slow, belly breath


You can also imagine breathing in LOVE/Source/LIGHT and breathing out fear.


Or better yet...imagine life breathing you. ;)


You're totally supported in your breath - ALWAYS.



3. Find one thing that you like about your surroundings


Wherever you are...and appreciate it with all your senses.


It doesn't have to be beautiful.


Try doing this with something that's totally ordinary - this is the real gift, cause who knows...


It may just pay off when you look in the mirror and find you actually LOVE the part you always hated. ;)


This is super self-LOVE ninja stuff here!



4. Give yourself more credit than you think you deserve


Oh this is a FUN one!!


And YES you can do this and not be a super crazy Narcissist...


If you've got one ounce of true Empathy, you can never be a Narcissist.


To do this tell yourself:


“I am much more [beautiful] than I think I AM.”

“I am capable of a lot more than I think I AM.”

“I LOVE myself a lot more than I think I do.”


The list goes on.


The KEY here is to add "a lot more" and "much more" to whatever you're down on yourself about...then ending it with "than I think I AM."


This one is quite powerful, especially when saying, “I am beautiful” just doesn’t feel authentic.



5. Meditate


Enough said.


Take a moment and Google it if you don't know what I'm talking about...



6. BE in the present moment


Lucky for you, steps 1-5 will bring you into this state.


And the exercise below will get you into present moment too...



Exercise #1: BE-ing Present

Being present is a big act of self-LOVE.


We tend to live in the past or the future, worrying and/or planning.


Your brain has no understanding of time and treats past and future thoughts exactly as if they're happening now...


Sending signals to your body to be ready for a fight or flight response.


This can lead to a very adrenaline filled, overworked and overtired body that's calling it quits when it hasn’t even left the couch.

Being present erases all this and fills you with mega energy...


It's the gift that keeps on giving.


When you're present, you re-align your body, relax and enjoy life more.

Steps:

  1. Notice when you begin to worry about something that's not in front of you in the present moment.

  2. Then, take a deep, slow breath into your belly. This helps change the energy pattern of fear that is occurring.

  3. Say to your self:"Hello fear, I hear you. This is fear stemming from a moment in my past and is not true for me in my present moment. I don't see this fear tangibly in front of me and so I don't have to worry about this right now. Thank you fear for this opportunity to be conscious. I choose to enjoy this moment and I trust that I will know what to do when and if this vision actually occurs. I AM always safe."

  4. Then find something you like in your immediate environment you can see, smell, touch, taste or hear and enjoy.

Be kind to yourself through this process.


You may have to repeat this many times, as the more you practice it the easier it becomes.
